RAWALPINDI: A passenger train coming from Rawalpindi station crushed a labourer to death in Gulzar-i-Quaid on Monday, police said.

Rasheed Ahmed, 16, was sitting on a rail track and either enjoying music or talking to some body on his mobile phone by using headphones and could not listen to the horn of the train, Mohammad Kaleem, in-charge of the Qulzar -i-Quaid police chowki, said.

He said the body of the victim had been handed over to his parents after postmortem.

Last week a woman was killed in a similar fashion near Mareer Chowk while crossing the rail track.
