SHANGLA: Adviser to Prime Minister Eng Amir Muqam has said that provincial government is not interested in development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a bridge, built over Indus River in Kabalgram area of Martung tehsil, here on Tuesday. MPA Rashad Khan, former federal minister Alamzeb Khan and former MPA Fazalullah also spoke on the occasion.

The bridge was damaged few years ago. It was reconstructed by the PML-N government and opened to vehicular traffic on Tuesday. The bridge links Shangla with Torghar. Reconstruction of the bridge was a longstanding demand of the residents of the area as most of them use it to reach other areas.

Mr Muqam said that development of the area was his passion. He said that more bridges, roads and other infrastructure would be built for the local people according to their needs.
