QUETTA: The Balochistan government has given one of the four schools for special persons in Quetta the status of college and a proposal is under consideration to increase their quota in jobs by one percentage point from the existing two per cent.

This was announced by the director general of the social welfare department, Musarrat Jabeen, while speaking at a function held here in connection with the International Day for Special Persons on Saturday.

The function was arranged by the social welfare department, in collaboration with the Balochistan Rural Support Programme and other organisations. A large number of special persons attended the event.

Chief Executive of BRSP Nadir Gul and Secretary Religious Affairs Zeeshanul Haq were also present on the occasion.
