KARACHI: A huge fire broke out in a textile factory in the SITE Industrial Area on Monday morning, according to firemen and police officials.

Nobody was injured in the third-degree fire. However, estimation of loss and cause of the fire could not be ascertained till Monday evening, said the Fire Brigade official.

The fire brigade officials said the fire erupted in Esa Textiles, situated near SITE Post Office, at around 7:25am. Several fire tenders from other fire stations in the city were called in. After hectic efforts which continued for over eight hours, the blaze was finally controlled at 4pm though the cooling work was under way till late Monday evening.
