SIALKOT: The local officials of Election Commission on Tuesday sent the vote bags of NA-110 to Nadra high-ups in Islamabad for verification on the Supreme Court orders.

The PTI’s losing candidate Usman Dar had submitted a writ petition before the Supreme Court for the verification of the National Assembly constituency votes cast during 2013 general elections. He had leveled rigging allegations against PML-N winning candidate Khawaja Muhammad Asif, now Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power.

Local ECP officials said that the vote bags had been sent to Nadra, Islamabad, amid tight security.
