HEC authorship scheme

Published February 19, 2016

THE Higher Education Commission (HEC) has done a commendable job in initiating its authorship scheme, according to which scholars and teachers have been asked to write textbooks and monographs in different subjects of learning.

The scheme was advertised at the end of December last year, and the last date for submission of one’s proposal, along with all required documents, is Feb 29.

The time-margin is short in view of the volume of work involved in preparing a proposal for a textbook or monograph by a would-be author. The HEC chairman is requested to extend the last date for submission of such proposals to March 31 so that a maximum number of proposals could be received by it.
