LANDI KOTAL: Unidentified men lobbed two hand grenades at the Frontier Corps camp here on Thursday morning, but there was no damage as the devices exploded in open area.

Security officials said that the attack was carried out from the Shalman gate side of the camp at around 5:00am. They said that two hand grenades landed at an empty compound inside the camp and thus no damage was caused.

Security forces immediately cordoned the area and also conducted a search operation in the nearby localities. However, it could not be ascertained if any arrests were made in the search operation.

The attack was second of its type on the FC camp in last two weeks. The previous attack also had not caused any damage to the buildings.

Meanwhile, Khasadar force in Jamrud foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of urea to Afghanistan. Officials said that over 200 bags of urea were being transported in a truck which was intercepted at Prang Sam checkpost. They said that driver of the truck had been taken into custody.
