MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government would reserve seats for students from across the Line of Control in Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Cadet College in Pallandari on the pattern of its medical colleges.

This was announced by AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed while chairing the meeting of college’s Board of Governors here on Tuesday.

The government would also pick up the admission costs as well as monthly tuition fees of such students, he declared.

Minister for Higher Education Muhammad Matloob Inqilabi, opposition PML-N lawmaker Dr Najeeb Naqi and other concerned officials attended the meeting.

Participants were briefed by cadet college Principal Brig (retired) Sardar Khurshid Ahmed about his institution’s performance and problems.

The meeting constituted a committee, headed by additional chief secretary (development), to look into those issues and suggest solutions.
