THE KP government’s initiative in promoting tourism is heartening apropos a report in Business & Finance (Nov 16).

Tourism is an industry which can bring tremendous benefits to the economy in terms of revenue as well as local employment. Improvement in the country’s image is an added advantage.

Tourism is an art and a very productive industry with high rate of returns and low investments if handled professionally. Malaysia and Dubai are two examples before us. The KP government should link up with Malaysian and Dubai agencies experienced in tourism to help the KP in this respect.
