MUZAFFARGARH: Jatoi police on Monday night arrested a man who confessed to killing his two daughters to pave way for his second marriage.

Police said they received a call from Mushtaq who said someone had killed his daughters Samiya, 17, and Rabia, 10. They said investigation revealed that Mushtaq wanted to contract second marriage after the death of his wife, but his daughters opposed him. Police said Mushtaq confessed to killing his daughters by pistol to pave the way for marriage.

The girls were laid to rest on Tuesday after postmortem examination of their bodies.
