Govt responsible for health, education: Dr Malik
QUETTA: It is the responsibility of the government to provide health and educational facilities to children so that they may share their future responsibilities in the best possible way.
Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Malik Baloch expressed these views while addressing the 17th Paediatric Conference late on Friday.
The conference was attended by 700 delegates from across the country, including paediatricians and child consultants.
He said that it was the responsibility of his government to provide available health facilities to people, adding that although Balochistan lagged far behind in millennium goals, indicators pointed towards progress and prosperity.

He said efforts were being made to ensure maintenance of law and order, provision of security to life and property and improvement in education and health sectors.
