SWABI: A man was allegedly killed over a land dispute in Saleem Khan village here on Saturday.

Ali Bash Khan, father of the victim Omer Sher, told police that his son was in his hujra when Osama Khan and his brother Shafiur Rehman came there and opened fire on his son, killing him on the spot.

He said that the cause of the incident was a dispute over the ownership of a piece of land between them. He said that the attackers escaped the area after the incident. The police registered the case and began investigation.

Meanwhile, a young man opened fire on his father and brother in the Swabi city area, injuring them seriously.

The injured Muqadar Shah told the police that his brother Zohaib Khan exchanged hot words with father Muqrab Khan over a domestic issue. He said that Zohaib took out a gun and opened fire on them, injuring them.

The wounded were taken to the district headquarters hospital where doctors referred them to Peshawar in precarious condition.

The police registered the case on the complaint of Muqadar Shah and began further investigations.
