KARACHI: A Bangladesh security team is due to arrive here early on Sunday ahead of their women cricket team’s proposed tour to Pakistan later this month.

The four-member delegation will compromise three officials from the Bangladesh government and the head of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) security Hossain Imam.

According to reports, the visiting team will get an understanding of the security arrangements from the arrival to the departure of Bangladesh women’s squad.

The team would be visiting the city’s Sunset Club in Defence where the matches will be played. The BCB officials will also inspect accommodation and other arrangements at the venue which also holds boarding and lodging facilities.

The delegation will be briefed by officials of security agencies at the Home Department. The security team from Bangladesh is also due to meet PCB officials in Lahore.

If the tour materialises, Bangladesh women’s team will play three one-dayers and as many Twenty20 matches against Asian Games gold medallists Pakistan from Sept 27 to Oct 8.
