LAHORE: PTI Punjab Organiser Chaudhry Sarwar has called for a comprehensive operation against rampant corruption in Punjab, terming it a bigger terrorist activity.

He said all Pakistanis, including the PTI followers, fully support national institutions working against corruption because the menace was as harmful for the country as terrorism.

He also stressed that accountability of the corrupt must be done in a way that it should create deterrence for others.

Speaking to party delegations at Chairman Secretariat on Thursday, Sarwar alleged the PML-N and the Election Commission had again entered into “muk muka” (a shady deal) to rig the upcoming by-election and local bodies poll. However, he warned, the PTI would not let the PML-N continue with its “Gullu Butt” style rigging practices in the coming elections.

Referring to Indian aggression on Working Boundary, Sarwar said the army, along with the whole nation, would compel India to lick the dust like in 1965, if it did not stop its terrorist activities there.

He demanded that the US as well as other countries advocating peace in the world should take notice of Indian terrorism, otherwise the dream of a peaceful South Asia region would never be materialised.

Sarwar said the party was in high spirits and would fight against “PML-N Gullu Butts” at every polling station and foil their design to steal people’s mandate.
