MIRPURKHAS/SHIKARPUR: Two women were shot dead in the name of honour in different incidents that took place in Mirpurkhas and Shikarpur districts on Thursday. Officials at the Kot Ghulam Mohammed police station said that they arrested a man, Sikandar Brohi and seized the crime weapon after he allegedly shot dead his sister, Marvi Brohi, 15, on suspicion of her having an affair.

They said the suspect shot her as soon as she returned home, located in Mohammed Bukhsh Khokhar village. He told the police that she had gone to meet her friend.

SHIKARPUR: In the other incident, a man, Aijaz Mirbahar, allegedly shot dead his sister, Fahmida aka Samiran Mirbahar, at their house and escaped.

Officials at the Madeji police said that the suspect was outraged over her friendship with a man related to them and on Thursday he shot her dead in their house situated in Arif village. They said a hunt for the killer was under way.
