Bail to Dr Mirza, 107 associates extended

BADIN: The protective bail granted to former home minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza and his 107 associates in six violence, rioting and harassment cases was extended till Sept 10 by the Badin district and sessions court on Saturday.
Dr Mirza along with his counsel appeared in the court to get the bail extended.
The six cases were registered against the suspects at various police stations in the district after a mob allegedly led by Dr Mirza stormed the Badin police station and forced people to observe a closure on May 3.

Arrogance must be punished. The government cannot allow people like that to intimidate any police authority. Apparently this man is higher in rank than the chief minister of Sindh province. Oppression is and has been the common practice of private armies hired by landowners in the Philippines and Latin America. Their job is to prevent land reforms and evict farmers.

Strange laws of Pakistan. With the evidence available how can a guy with his 107 associates have protective bail?? and on the other hand you are detaining people in Karachi for up to 120 days on minor allegations. Our security agencies need to remove this divide.

This person Zulfiqar Mirza openly admitting arming People Aman Committee, attacking policemen on duly. Attacking Police Station is being given bail because he is exposing Asif Zardari. Is this even handed operation?
