UNITED NATIONS: The spokesman to the United Nations secretary general has confirmed that the UN Mission in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) is investigating Pakistan’s allegation of ceasefire violations by India.

Responding to a question at a briefing on Tuesday, deputy spokesman Farhan ul Haq said that since there was no report from the UNMOGIP so far “I have nothing to say”.

According to an ISPR press release, the UNMOGIP was asked by Pakistan Army to “use its good offices to investigate Indian ceasefire violation”.

At least three people were killed and five others suffered injuries in Sialkot’s Chaprar sector on Thursday, and another person was killed in Azad Kashmir in firing across the Line of Control.

India always complain about ceasefire violations by Pakistan immediately after breaking the ceasefire.

@kashmiri Not Sad, it is the only option we have even though we have violated all UN rulings on Kashmir and it is null and void, it means UN resolutions on Kashmir is no longer valid ,but we don't have any other means to secure kashmir, hence repeat the same thing again and again, despite us being the violators of the rulings.

I hope we do not get blamed by an independent third party like UN. Our nation needs good mature leadership, we saber rattle, and the result is UNMOGIP investigating us. Report will be on file in UNSC.

@Tamil Maturity is needed on both sides, if we care so much about kashmiris then why don't we stop firing as it kills kashmiris on both sides of the border.

@Tamil Kashmir is only a symptom of India Pakistan rivalry not the cause of it, i have no doubt even if Kashmir issue is resolved India Pakistan will remain enemies as always , in fact it may increase even further .

On a different news today, the maker of DJI Phantom drones confirmed today that Governments are not on their list of customers. However, any one can buy their "toy" drones on their site. This allegation of ceasefire violation by India is as credible as the shooting down of an "Indian" drone. Judge for yourself.

@Zak If Pakistan wants peace and stops sending militants to Kashmir then kashmiris will be happy and prosperous , but Pakistan wants territory and cares nothing for the welfare of kashmiris on both sides of the border.
