KOHAT: Petty disputes claimed lives of two persons in separate incidents here on Monday.

Two brothers, Tahir ur Rehman and Mati ur Rehman, brawled over installation of fans in their house in Gula Khel area, prompting the former to open fire with a 30-bore pistol on the latter, killing him on the spot.

Ms Nazia, wife of the deceased, reported to the police that her brother-in-law killed her husband over a minor issue. She blamed inhuman loadshedding and hot spell for the incident.

The body was shifted to Liaquat Memorial Hospital for postmortem and was later handed over to family. The police arrested Tahir ur Rehman along with the weapon used in the crime.

In another incident, Mamoor Khan killed his brother, Zahoor Khan, following a fight between their wives in Bado Ziarat locality of Bilitang.

Police registered a case and arrested the suspected killer.
