MUZAFFARGARH: A man was allegedly killed by his daughter over property in Chowk Sarwar Shaheed area on Friday.

Kot Addu DSP Abdul Rehman Asim told Dawn that Qaisar Ali was a sales officer in an insurance company and had contracted several marriages. His daughter, Mariam, opened fire on him with a pistol, killing him on the spot.

Victim’s brother Muhammad Ali said his brother was murdered by Mariam on a land dispute because Mariam and her mother, Asia, suspected that Qaisar would distribute the land among all the wives and children and sell his residence.
