Rangers brief corps commander over Karachi operation

KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar on Thursday paid a visit to the Pakistan Rangers Headquarters, where Director General (DG) Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar briefed him about the ongoing targeted operation in the city, said a press release issued by Sindh Rangers.

Lt Gen Mukhtar attended a detailed briefing about the law and order situation and other professional matters, the press release said.

The corps commander was also apprised about the security arrangements made for Ramazan, which begin Friday (tomorrow).

Lt Gen Mukhtar appreciated the efforts of Rangers to establish peace in Sindh and expressed his resolution to keep up action against corruption, the press release said.

Lt Gen Mukhtar also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha for slain Rangers personnel.
