President for better education, training of youngsters

KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain said on Tuesday that imparting quality education and training to the younger generation was the need of the hour.

He was talking to a delegation of Kiran and Akhuwat Foundation here at the State Guest House. Students from Lyari area were also present on the occasion.

“We desire that the best possible educational facilities be made available to the younger generation in order to hone their abilities and for the purpose the government is sincerely utilising all available resources,” he said.

He said he wanted that children be imparted education without any discrimination so that they became good Pakistani citizens. For the purpose it was also essential that they be apprised of the Pakistan movement and the history of the sub-continent as well of the world.

The president pointed out that a committee was working for restructuring the curriculum and its recommendations would come soon.

“It is our responsibility to provide the younger generation with a better environment for education and work in this connection is being carried out.”
