LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday approved the bail plea of two suspects who were booked for attacking a mosque after the twin suicide attacks on churches in Youhanabad.

Nishter Colony police produced Shamoon and Moon Punu before the ATC, facing charges of attacking Haji Ki Khoi mosque after the twin blasts in Youhanabad.

The suspects’ counsel said his clients were innocent and booked in a fabricated case. He said police could not prove the charges and sought bail for them.

The prosecutor argued that police were investigating the matter and pleaded before the court to reject the bail petition.

The presiding judge approved the bail plea, directing the suspects to submit a surety bond of Rs100,000.
