LAHORE: Police claim to have registered on Tuesday a case against Mustafa Kanju, son of former state minister for foreign affairs Siddique Kanju, for possessing illegal weapon.
Mustafa Kanju was involved in the killing of a student, Zain, in Cavalry Ground.
South Cantonment police said the Kalashnikov used for killing Zain was recovered from the suspect.
Police said he failed to produce the licence of the Kalashnikov. As many as 10 bullets of the weapon were found on the crime scene.
Kanju, during interrogation confessed to resorting to indiscriminate firing after a minor car accident and claimed Zain was not his target.

Initially police stated that finger prints of the accused were found from weapon recovered from crime scene. Dont understand which weapon is now recovered
