Fazl calls on Zardari

KARACHI: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, called on former president and Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari here at Bilawal House on Saturday to discuss political situation in the country and the conflict in Yemen, said a statement.

“Both leaders discussed current political situation in the country and regional situation,” said the statement issued by Bilawal House.

“Latest situation in Yemen also came under discussion in the meeting.”

According to the statement, Mr Zardari called upon the government to ensure the immediate and safe return of Pakistani citizens stuck in Yemen.

He said he would hold meetings also with other political leaders.
