School security

Published February 28, 2015

THIS refers to the new action plan against terrorism and the improvement of security in schools all over Pakistan after the Army Public School, Peshawer, attack on Dec 16. Schools all over the country are being provided security.

Security guards are being stationed at the entrances of schools. In the case of Hunza-Nager, Gilgit-Baltistan, Elite forces are being stationed outside every school.

In fact, I even saw a policeman stationed outside my school: Sky Higher Secondary School Hunza-Nager.

There are at least 100 schools in Hunza-Nager and every school needs at least one policeman or security guard. However, if 100 policeman were stationed at the entrances to the district and at all possible routes of travel, then attacks by extremists could be more effectively prevented.
