KARAK: Adviser to the chief minister on prisons, Malik Qasim Khan Khattak, has said that all hospitals in Karak district would soon be provided doctors and other staff according to the sanctioned strength.

He made this claim while addressing a ceremony held to hand over keys of new ambulances to the heads of health centres here on Tuesday.

He said that three ambulances would be provided to the tehsil headquarters hospital, Takht-i-Nusrati, and civil hospital, Latamber, soon.

Mr Khattak said that basic facilities would be provided in all health centres of the district, as ensuring efficient health service delivery was the top priority of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led provincial government.

He claimed that he was well aware of the problems being faced by masses. He said that masses had elected their representatives and it was their duty to resolve the people’s problems without any delay.

The CM’s adviser said that they were fighting for the rights of Karak people on every forum, claiming that the recruitments in the prisons ministry were made on merit. He said that the oil refinery would be established in Karak district as it had been producing 75 per cent of the oil and gas in Kohat division.

He resolved that no compromise would be made on the rights of people of the district and dispelled the impression about the misuse of oil and gas royalty funds. He said that funds were being used for provision of drinking water to people.

Mr Khattak said that his opponents had no other issue, but were making hue and cry about the royalty funds utilisation.
