ISLAMABAD: The government has finalised an action plan to achieve the millennium development goals (MDGs) in education by enrolling maximum number of out-of-school children by 2016.

Sponsored by the ministry of federal education and professional training, the plan of action will be executed and implemented by the National Commission for Human Development.

The plan seeks enrolment of maximum number of children and to provide them with quality and complete primary education.

A UN report had categorised Pakistan as one of the countries not expected to universalise primary education by 2015.
