Rs359m given to 54,618 TDPs: PDMA

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has distributed Rs359.9 million among 54,618 verified temporarily displaced people (TDP) of North Waziristan Agency till Jan 14.

Under the second phase of “Easar-i-KP programme” launched in November, an amount of Rs6,000 is being paid to each verified TDP.

According to the PDMA, Rs197.1m were disbursed among 30,911 TDPs in Bannu, Rs24m among 3,709 TDPs in Dera Ismail Khan, Rs37m among 5,788 TDPs in Peshawar and Rs24m among 3,847 TDPs in Lakki Marwat. Besides, Rs13m were distributed through 2,190 ATM transactions.
