LAHORE: Iqbal Town CIA police on Friday claimed to have arrested a man for killing his wife with the help of his two accomplices who were also arrested.

According to a press release, police arrested Qasid Nauman and his accomplices, Waqas and Aneel alias Neela, claiming that Nauman had confessed to killing his wife, Sadia. Nauman had contracted marriage with Sadia to get his friend Shahid Murad released who had killed Sadia’s mother, Rukhsana, and was in jail. After failing to get his friend released, Nauman and his accomplices strangled Sadia and threw her body into the canal.

Sadia’s father Shahid had filed a petition before the sessions court for recovery of his daughter from her husband. Nauman submitted that he had divorced his wife and had no information of her whereabouts.

Later, Sadia’s body was found in the canal in the Mustafaabad police area where a murder case was registered against unidentified person(s). Her father identified her from the pictures of the body.
