ISLAMABAD: Upon his return from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan once again trained his guns on former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and Justice (retd) Khalilur Rehman Ramday, alleging them of supervising rigging carried out during the May 2013 General Elections.

"Iftikhar Chaudhry and Justice (retd) Ramday controlled the returning officers ... both of them should be tried under Article 6," the PTI chief said, while talking to reporters in Islamabad on Saturday.

Speaking on the former chief justice's Rs20 billion libel notice, Imran said he was waiting for Iftikhar Chaudhry to face him in the court. "Iftikhar Chaudhry is a traitor to democracy, I will prove this in the court," he said.

"How did it happen that PML-N grabbed 6.8 million votes in 2008 elections and in 2013 they ended up with more than 15 million votes," questioned the PTI chief, alleging that this happened because of the rigging carried out by returning officers under the supervision of the former chief justice.

This is not the first time Imran has levelled allegations against Chaudhry and Ramday. Last year in August, the PTI chief had named Iftikhar Chaudhry, Khalilur Rehman Ramday, former caretaker chief minister of Punjab Najam Sethi and officials of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as having played a role in rigging the 2013 polls.

Later in October, after dismissing allegations as baseless, Ramday had send a legal notice to Imran for defaming him and had demanded an apology.

Even his Ball-tempering by rubbing coke-caps is well-known cricket first. Same is his story about Dharna not going before getting the resignation of Nawaz Sharif. He is the most spurious of all politicians on the scene today.

There is a simple explanation that PPP got lot of sympathy votes because PPP leader (BBB) died during the campaign. After 5 years of PPP rule people got disillusioned with PPP government and voted for PML-N. Why its so hard for IK to comprehend. He is making fool of himself by making false allegations against a man who waged a war against the dictator and won.

In NA-122 over 30 thousands votes are not verified as they don,t have signs and stamp by presiding officers, form 14 and 15 are not there, different colors of ballot papers are found there, ballot papers and counter files are not matched, same is in NA-125 where 23% votes were illegal. what else you needed? oh God save us from dumb people like you

Imran may be right. Think about it for a minute. Put yourself in CJs shoes come election time and with NS allowed to participate by Saudi Arabia. Who does NS hate most - Musharraf. Who does CJ hate most - Musharraf. It was therefore the 'duty' of CJ to make NS win and then have Musharraf tried for treason. Imran did not figure in CJ and NS thinking and was just considered collateral damage.

IK asks how is it possible that the PMLN got 6.8m votes in 2009 and 15m in 2013.He seems to argue that it was made possible at the behest of the retired CJ of Pakistan and retired Justice Ramday. The increase in the PLMN vote was about 2.2 times. May I draw the attention of your readers, IK and Justices Chaudry & Ramday of the extraordinary coincidence of a very similar change in favour of the Indian political party BJP in the 2009 and 2014 Indian elections. The BJP vote (neglecting the vote in favour of its allied parties) was 78,435, 538 in 2009 and 171,459,286 in 2014. The increase in the BJP vote in the two elections was about 2.19 times. No Indian political party has alleged rigging. Incidentally, the previous ruling party Congress was humiliated in the same manner as was PPP in Pakistan and the anti-corruption party of Mr Kejriwal got nowhere.

Or may be you are referring to the fact that government refused to open only four constituencies for recounting the votes. Justice Sajjad Ali Shah was the first one in Pakistan history of Judiciary to stand up before Executive. Iftekhar Chudry was too much praised for his bold steps during his tenure. Now Imran allegations has changed the scenario by showing true picture of ex-chief justice reflects that judiciary has always remained under the influence of Executive.Maulana Fazal Rehman had same views about Iftekhar Chudhry in last govt.

I somehow don't see this going to trial, but if it does, it will make for some very entertaining courtroom drama in our otherwise embattled and over-burdened civil justice system. I wonder what Imran's case will be, given that it is likely to prove nigh on impossible to successfully run a justification defence under these circumstances. On the other hand, your average (conservative) Islamabad trial judge is equally unlikely to award any plaintiff 20 billion in damages for loss of reputation, even if they happen to be a celebrity former CJ. Bring on the circus.

The only country to clean up corruption in recent years is Indonesia (after it's financial collapse). Pakistani economists and public policy scholars could not do better than to study Indonesia. It is Islamic and multicultural. That had a team of lawyers, public spirited individuals and government officials who beat the odds, formed a commission and cleaned up the country. They just recently elected a president popular with the people.

This is no cricket where you can make claims to rattle your opponents before or during a game. Unlike sports, politics is a repeated game. Sir, I trusted him a lot. I thought that he was very honest and trustful person. Now he has proved that he is the most stupid person and very un reliable person, who lies frequenty for wrong reasons. Is the prvious Imran is dead. Now he is waiting for Iftikhar, Will he succeed, I doubt that. Why he can not think straight and honestly. I do not want to accept him as the ruler of the Pakistan, who is not sincere. .

Whatever the merits of IK's allegation, he has achieved something remarkable - broken the idol of Iftikhar Chaudhry - a figure that was elevated to an undeserved position of reverence whose own son was involved in massive corruption. It is quite conceivable that the CJ was part of a massive rigging as a pay back for NS's calculated and shwred move to restore this flawed figure to power.

Peddling the agencies line. This has reduced his stature and left a question mark over Imran's motives and his wisdom. Also his allegations on GEO are totally baseless and show his darker and unknown side that is not what is had been presented to the nation. He even wanted ISI to be part of the commission formed to look into electoral irregularities. This man has morphed into something else, definitely not the Imran we know

IK has 50 percent hand in destabilizing Pakistan economy.The government should bill him for the money spent for security and also all losses in business during dharna.He should also compensate for any death that may have arisen due to his dharna including assault on a journalist by his supporters!

Imran Khan: Iftikhar Chaudhry is dirty man - Just ignore that SOB. He is the bone of contention. To All Pakistanis:Still time there to save that country out of robbers. Nawaz whole team corrupt. The guy does not know how to talk and he is PM of that country.We are very ashamed here in USA to see his movements.Pakistani people still sleeping and two big robbers ( Nawaz and Zardari group ) looting your country.If you don't wake up now, will repent until last day.

A humble request to brave General Raheel: Please save that country and put these two robbers ( Nawaz and Zardari )in jail for ever, please. We love Imran Khan for all the good things he has done for Pakistan. He has brought hope and shown leadership and courage in the face of adversity. But we should not forget Chief Justice Iftikhar Chuaudry's historical stance against the military dictator. It is disappointing to see IK being pitched against Ch. Justice Chaudhry. People who are encouraging this fight have their own axe to grind. IK should watch out.

Honestly I have liked him in the start.. just accept your defeat, you have wasted THOUSANDS of MAN Hours where your man power could have HELPED OUT IDP's in Waziristan, Your Voice could have helped in Polio Vaccination, Your Manpower could have helped clean the country or anything meaningful.. and HATS off to our nation to listen to is VOICE all day LONG. Justice Ramday is a honest gentleman. The whole lawyer community knows him very well. IK is fighting the status quo with the force including qureshi, tareen, khakwani, aleem khan, ejaz chaudry, kasuri etc etc...... Pti got two lacs votes in 2002 how could they got seven million votes in 2013.

Let me remind the nation about THIRD UMPIRE Imran Khan was talking about in THARNA. The government should investigate who was behind this conspiracy for toppling the elected government through THIRD UMPIRE and try these elements { Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid, Roedad Khan etc } under article 6 of the constitution
