Where are the drones being launched from?? I thought that all the NATO troops have vacated Afghanistan. Is the Pakistan or the Afghan military operating the drones??

Why cannot our army counter the drones ? Are they too afraid of America ? What other countries allow drone strikes in their territories? We must show some spine for God's sake.

Ive an honest question to all my pakistani friends.is there any data of how many actual terrorists have been killed? And like how many dispersed and stuff....is there any goal that this is the amount of no. We have to kill? Cz this way this op will go on for years

Every Pakistani having some common sense and aware of the Complexity of the War Against Terrorism would support Drone strikes. Drones have been targeted by the B teams of Terrorists amongst Us. Patriotic Pakistanis stand has been very simple. Pakistan Condemns violation of its sovereignty and we demand transfer of Drone Technology to Pak Armed Forces.

@Rafiq Ali You have to prioritise your needs, At the moment, its not the ability to counter drones but to neutralise the Taliban, unless you prefer it the other way around.

The drone attacks are good to eliminate terrorist hideouts , what right a foreigner has to be in the Pakistan territory ? Sooner they are eliminated the better. Those who hide behind their women or children need to consider their position, are they the brave fighters who want to defy all civilised values? if they hide behind their women and children then the onus or fault is theirs, for the harm done to women and children. I would not look too closely into the ownership of the drones. They are helping Pakistan Period. Only sympathisers obfuscate the real debate. Do we want thugs and murderers to hold sway in Pakistan? No ,I do not think any civilised state could afford loose guns on their deck. Get rid of them. That is the clear duty of the State. I am not a religious scholar but I have a good understanding of our religion, I can use Arabic as well as the native speakers of Egypt. Not many religious leaders of Pakistan have that facility to understand our holy scriptures. If they had they would consider before objecting to the fate of murderers who terrorise our country. So let us start make a differentiation between those who pose as religious scholar and have authoritative knowledge and who just pose as one. The terrorists are not the friends of Pakistanis whatever their religion or their narrative.

@abhas uzbeks and other nationalities being killed by drone attacks in Fata area aren't pakistani either.Drones are killing terrorist and their sympathizers ,you don't question why worlds filth is living in your back yard terrorizing whole of pakistan,but question the drones. @awinash.....there are still 15,000 US troops & 13,000 nato troops in Afghanistan for training etc;purposes. Drones are being flown from inside Afghanistan by the American after the closure of Shamsi Airbase. Just because many of us are anti-American, but Drones have been proved to be more precise with less collateral damage then what we are doing with our F16 & barrage of ground artilleries etc; they cause more collateral then drones, but media has projected it otherwise. google it & you will get the answer.

@Shafiq I like most of your post. Your insinuation that Pakistan does not understand the religion is suspect. Pakistan is so good that they can explain all their actions are based on the sound principles of Islam if not based on direct instructions from the higher authority himself.

Good Job. Drones are far more humane and sane than carpet bombing or "precise and effective Air Strike from a fighter air craft at 10000 feet above flying a 700 mile per hour".

Even those who attacked a small group in Liberty Market, Lahore, commemorating the death of Salman Taseer today. Their faces have been recorded. The term "Good Taliban" and "Bad Taliban" was coined by Washington after it decided to negotiate with Talibans and stressed that those wanted to talk would be considered as the "Good Talibans" and those who take up arms against the NATO forces would be considered as the "Bad Talibans". If you ask Nawaz Sharif the definition of the Good and the Bad Talibans, he will start twirling his thumbs and will not be able to explain.

Drone has to do a lot more than this. Hellfire is excellent treatment against Taliban terror.

All these are the far reaching consequences of 9/11. USA attacked Afghanistan not Pakistan after 9/11, means terrorists were in Afghanistan. Now USA is attacking Pakistan in shape of drones. USA had either intention prior to 9/11 to attack Pakistan as we see now a days or these terrorists have migrated to Pakistan. Who is responsible now??? If there is a drone attack or bomb blast the victims are Pakistanis.

Isn't this the same guy who made a "peace deal" with the Pakistan military and promised he would eliminate the Al Qaeda and Uzbek's a few years ago. If so - how could the American's be targeting a Uzbek commander? Just more evidence that making deals with "good terrorist" was a bad policy. It's too bad that American drones had to do what Pakistan F-16's should have.

US operating drones freely and without permission of Pak Army on Pak soil. It has a huge long term demoralising affect on the people. It will be better governance for the people and more selfrespect if each of the 6 provinces establish self governance. Maybe just the army can remain common

Drones are no solution. We dont even know if the people who were killed were terrorists. Operation Zar-be-Azb is enough to tackle these terrorists.

@aceleaf Hellfire MISSLE has been augmented by the newer AGM-176 Griffin missle, which was developed as a low collateral damage weapon useful in irregular warfare! Since it is lighter and more compact, three Griffins can be carried in place of one hellfire on Predator and Reaper drone pylon points, providing the drone strike team with more rounds to launch during a fire mission!

Drone should be declared National Bird of Pakistan. Always brings good news when it flies over Pakistan.
