Although Joseph Gordon-Levitt barely talks about his personal life to the media, a rep for the actor has confirmed that Joseph is indeed a married man now, reports Us Weekly. The actor married his girlfriend Tasha McCauley, who is not from show business.

The Don Jon star only revealed in 2013 that he had a significant other in an interview with radioshow host Howard Stern, without revealing who she was: "I think I'm a pretty good person and a good boyfriend. Yeah, I just wouldn't want to be with someone who was disrespectful to me."

The couple reportedly met through mutual friends.

Gordon-Levitt has mostly kept mum about the relationship in public, sharing in 2013, “The girl I’m with, she really doesn’t want to be a part of that.".

According to Tasha's Twitter description, she co-founded Fellow Robots, a robotics company based at NASA Research Park in Mountain View, CA.

The actor also further explained why he likes to remain silent on his personal life: "I get up in movies and I play other people, so when the audience is watching me in movies, I don't want them thinking about me and who I'm dating, and blah blah blah," he said. "I want them to see the character, the story that I'm telling."

The couple tied the knot in a small ceremony on 20 December 2014.
