PESHAWAR/ LANDI KOTAL: Fifteen suspected militants were killed in air strikes in North Waziristan and six militants died in clashes with a pro-government group in Khyber Agency on Wednesday.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, 15 militants, including two leaders of the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, were killed when military planes attac­ked their positions. Some hideouts and ammunition depots were destroyed.

In Kyhber Agency, clashes between militants belonging to the banned Lashkar-i- Islam and volunteers of the pro-government Tauheed-ul-Islam group left six LI men dead and 10 volunteers injured.

Meanwhile, security forces brought the bodies of eight suspected militants to the Levies Centre in Shah Kas. They were killed in clashes with security forces in Tirah valley and Sherin Darra in Orakzai Agency on Tuesday.

In Bar Qambar Khel, ‘commanders’ of the Amr Bil Maroof Wa Nahi Anil Munkir militant group asked the residents to vacate their houses.
