KARACHI: A fine all-round performance by Fahad Irfan inspired St Paul’s English High School to a five-wicket win over St Patrick’s High School in the opening fixture of the sixth Ian Fyfe Memorial Inter-school Invitation T20 Cricket League here on Saturday.

Batting first, St Patrick’s were all out for 94 in 20 overs with opener Adil Khan making 41.

Off-spinner Rohit Mukesh claimed 4-13 in three overs with Fahad capturing 2-5 with his off-spinners.

St Paul’s reached their target of 95 in 19 overs for the loss of five wickets. Fahad, opening the innings, contributed 33. Leg-spinner Jamal Rizvi and paceman Saad Abdul Basit each took two wickets.

Earlier, the tournament, in which eight schools are participating, was inaugurated by Rev Fr Robert D’Silva. Also present on the occasion was tournament director Andre Bernard.
