MIRPURKHAS: A man was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly stabbed his wife to death in Degan Bhurgari village near Kot Ghulam Mohammad town apparently in a fit of anger over being served lunch late.

The area police said the suspect, Shah Mohammed Solangi, attacked his wife, Robina Solangi, 22, with a dagger and fled the house leaving her in a pool of blood on Tuesday.

They said that that some of the neighbours tried to take the victim to the KGM Taluka Hospital but she died on the way. The body was handed over to the heirs after a post-mortem examination at the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital.

An FIR against the suspect was lodged by Ahmed Ali Solangi, the father of the deceased woman.

On Wednesday, Degan Bhurgari police on a tip-off raided a place and arrested the suspect with the murder weapon.
