GWADAR: Two people were kidnapped in Kech and Panjgur districts on Wednesday, police said.

Armed men kidnapped Faqir Hussain from Tasp Nokabad area in Panjgur.

Abdul Ghani, a schoolteacher, was kidnapped at gunpoint from Chahsir area of Turbat.

Police said that Mr Ghani was going to home in Tump Shahi along with his family when gunmen stopped his car and took him away.

“Kidnappers freed his family but took away Master Abdul Ghani with them,” police said.

Mr Ghani belongs to Zamran in Buleda area and had moved to Turbat only recently because of deteriorating law and order situation there.

Law-enforcement agencies personnel launched a search operation in Panjgur and Chahsir area of Turbat for kidnappers.

Meanwhile, three men, kidnapped by gunmen three months ago from Kech, returned to their homes on Wednesday.
