ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has formed a committee to verify the degrees of teachers working under Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) as soon as possible.

The process had already started and so far degrees of 33 teachers out of 3,979 had been verified, an official in the ministry told APP.

He said that standard of education in federal government schools had considerably improved.

Area Education Officers (AEOs) play an important role in monitoring the academic activities of the schools located in each of the five sectors of Islamabad, the official said.

He said that AEOs also helped the FDE on administrative issues of the schools. Annual results of the schools are monitored and analysed, he added. He said that reasons for poor results were identified and every effort was made to improve results. Schools showing good results are also appreciated, he added.

He said that National Curriculum 2006 has been implemented at all levels in schools under the FDE.
