Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, on Friday, said that matters were now out of the hands of politicians and only the military could improve the situation.

Shujaat also accused former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and former army chief General (r) Ashfaq Pervez Kayani of being involved in rigging during 2013 general elections.

Justifying the role of military in the current political crisis as the solution, the PML-Q president said that the government had already invited the military to intervene in the matter.

He also raised questions about the meetings between Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.

Commenting on the parliament's joint sessions Chaudhry Shujaat claimed that instead of discussing the people, lawmakers were only discussing ways to save their own skins.
