KHUZDAR: A complete strike was observed in Kalat town on Tuesday on the call of Balochistan National Party (BNP- M) against raids on the house of tribal elder Mir Kambar Khan Mengal.

All major markets, shops and business centres remained closed.

Private banks and other institutions also closed.

Vehicular traffic remained thin while heavy contingent of security forces, including police and FC, were deployed in the town. No untoward incident was reported from any part of the town during the strike.
