KARACHI: Bahrain’s East Riffa Club fought back from 2-0 down in the first-half to salvage a draw against Pakistan during a friendly match in Riffa on Wednesday night.

According to information received here, goals by defender Mohammad Salman and striker Mansoor Khan put Pakistan well in control of their second match on their tour of Bahrain.

But East Riffa came back strongly with goalkeeper Ehsanullah stopping a penalty to send Pakistan with a two-goal cushion into half-time.

He could do nothing in the second-half though as East Riffa scored twice to condemn Pakistan to their second straight draw.

Pakistan had earlier drawn 1-1 with Riffa Sports Club on Monday and face another local side Al Hidd on Saturday with the matches intended to provide the team with practice ahead of their campaign at the Asian Games next month.
