MORE than 2,000 Palestinians have now died in Gaza because of the ongoing brutal Israeli action aimed at wiping out the Palestinian people. The Israeli military juggernaut is engaged in the wanton killing of Palestinians on the flimsy pretext that the defenceless Palestinians are a threat to the state of Israel.

Islam makes it mandatory for believers not to shut their eyes to injustice committed against even a non-Muslim. Then how is it that the entire Muslim ummah is silent on the genocide of the Palestinian people?

All Muslim countries must raise their voice on all international fora and get them to stop the slaughter of the Palestinian people, allowing them to live in peace and dignity.
