Northants release Andrew Hall

LONDON: Northamptonshire will release former South Africa all-rounder Andrew Hall at the end of the season, the English county announced on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old Hall joined Northamptonshire in 2007 — the same year he played the last of his 21 Tests for South Africa. Hall went on to captain the Midlands side from 2010-2012.

Although he has been a regular in relegation-threatened Northamptonshire’s County Championship this season, Hall has played less of a role in limited-overs cricket.
