HYDERABAD: The general council meeting of the Sindh Squash Association (SSA) imposed a five-year ban on SSA general secretary Amir Khan for his alleged unconstitutional activities.
The meeting was held here the other day under chairmanship of Tahir Jamil Khanzada.
It noted that as per general council meeting’s decision of May 3, 2014, Amir was given three show-cause notices for his illegal and unconstitutional activities, warning him to be careful and desist from his objectionable conduct.
Amir was also asked to present record of accounts of millions of rupees pertaining to year 2011, 2012 and 2013-14 before the general council.
The meeting observed that Amir refused to present the accounts and instead formed a fake association and launched a smear campaign.
The ban bars him from claiming representation at local, national and international level with regard to squash activities.
The meeting empowered Ejaz Shaikh to act as secretary till next elections. However its decision about Amir was that it could review the ban if his attitude improves.
It expressed confidence in Tahir Jamil Khanzada and urged him to request the Pakistan Squash Federation to take notice of Amir’ illegal and unconstitutional activities.
