QUETTA: A doctor was gunned down, two bullet-riddled bodies were found and a young girl reportedly committed suicide over the past 24 hours, police said.

Dr Sajjad Ahmed was sitting in his clinic in the Sheikh Omer road area on Thursday when an armed man entered the premises and opened fire on him. Sajjad was injured and died before receiving the medical aid.

The attacker escaped by a motorcycle.

Two bullet-riddled bodies were found in Keechi Baig area on Wednesday night.

Police shifted the bodies to the civil hospital for identification and legal formalities.

A girl shot herself dead in Sheikh-Manda area on the outskirts of the city.

She was identified as Maryam.

Quoting family sources, police said the cause of the incident was a family dispute.
