Summoning of army criticised

QUETTA: Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani, Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology and a leader of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl), has criticised the PML-N government for summoning army in Islamabad by invoking Article 245.

Talking to party members in Sherani district on Friday, he also lambasted the government for enacting the Protection of Pakistan law. He said instead of strengthening the state, the new law would enhance powers of some institutions. He said that JUI was struggling for enforcement of Islamic system in the country.
