KARACHI: Speakers at a demonstration at the Karachi Press Club on Saturday condemned the brazen Israeli bombardment of highly congested residential areas in Gaza, Palestine, and urged the international community to exert pressure on Israel to immediately halt the massacre of innocent people.

The demonstration was organised jointly by the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance, Pakistan Sikh Council and Pakistan Harijan Federation.

The speakers including former MPAs Micheal Javed, Bherulal Balani, Sardar Ramesh Singh, Parkash Kumar and Chaudhry Boota urged the United Nations, the European Union and the United States to take immediate steps to end the Israeli atrocities, which had jeopardised the international peace.

The demonstrators were carrying banners inscribed with their demands and were also chanting slogans in support of their demands.
