KARACHI: The Sindh government on Wednesday imposed a three-day ban on pillion-riding in Karachi and Sukkur starting on Friday (July 18) to Sunday.

The ban was imposed under Section 144 (power to issue order absolute at once in urgent cases of nuisance or apprehended danger) of the criminal procedure code as part of security arrangements for Yaum-i-Ali, said a notification issued by the Sindh home department.

Yaum-i-Ali falls on July 20.
