LAHORE: The name of Hussain Mohyuddin, a son of Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri, was taken down on Thursday from the First Information Report (FIR) registered in the wake of the deaths in Lahore's Model Town incident.

Mohyuddin’s name was taken down from the FIR due to lack of evidence available against the PAT chief's son.

Eight people, including women, were killed in a clash that broke out between PAT supporters and police personnel in Model Town.

In the wake of the clash, police had booked a number of PAT affiliates and supporters in the FIR along with Qadri's son.

However, the police had previously avoided arresting Mohyuddin.

PAT central general secretary Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, PAT's Chief Security Officer Syed Altaf Shah and others have been nominated in the case.
