Name of Tahirul Qadri's son removed from FIR

LAHORE: The name of Hussain Mohyuddin, a son of Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri, was taken down on Thursday from the First Information Report (FIR) registered in the wake of the deaths in Lahore's Model Town incident.

Mohyuddin’s name was taken down from the FIR due to lack of evidence available against the PAT chief's son.

Eight people, including women, were killed in a clash that broke out between PAT supporters and police personnel in Model Town.

if there was no evidence against him, y was he named initially. had it been a civilized country, this would have been enough for sacking of law minister. sadly, we live in a country where law minister is himself the biggest violator of law

Qadri is the main culprit trying to divert the focus of the govt from nwa operation. He should be nominted in the FIR.

Qadri sb. leave the politics as it doesn't suit any of the religious peoples like you. pl.help Pakistani peoples to educate how to live a life of a true Muslims.you should fight against poverty, illiteracy, corruption. how come you be faithful to poor Pakistanis if your self live in castle's.peoples those living lavish lives can't change the fate of the poor.that includes all the politicians. pl.live 24 hours in a place where no electricity, water, sanitation , food more than half of the Pakistan like this, and then claim and prove your self Sir! STARTS FROM THE GRASS ROOTS LEVEL. what you preach you should practice!

@atif: my dear,I am in USA.six month ago a accused was release from after spending nine year in jail because lack of evidence.Yesterday on CNN ,a story was carried out,as how woman lawyer defended her client and got him free from death chamber on basis of evidence.SHOULD WE ASKED THE PRESIDENT OF US,GOVERNOR OF SAID STATE AND POLICE CHIEF OF SAID STATE TO RESIGN.NO THAT IS BEAUTY OF JUSTICE.THIS HAPPENED IN CIVILIZED COUNTRY.COMPERE BOTH THESE CASES AND THE CASE YOU ARE REFERRING IN PAKSTAN.HATS OFF TO POLICE TO DROP OFF THE NAME AND DID NOT MAKE EGO OF IT,BUT LATER ON WE WILL SEE WHEN THEY WILL COLLECT EVIDENCES.LET THE CASE PROCEEDS.

I am totally against this decision. If his name is to be removed it SHOULD not be due to political opposition! This NOT the way a democracy works. OMG!! Our opposition is a thug party too. Our whole country and media have no clue about how the rule of law is maintained. This a complete shame. Our educated people don't know anything about rule of law. This is why our nation will remain stuck in the iron age for another century.

@Hikmatullah Khan Are you kidding me? What he's doing is great. Kick out this government and the corruption it loves so much. Corruption is the key to end this hopelessness facing the country. Once corruption is significantly diminished, slowly things will change. Law and order will be prevalent. The administrators of this country and its executive will be held accountable for their wrongdoings and examples made of everyone. Pakistan was not meant for this. So sad.

@Shuaib A democracy also doesn't work when during elections, theft of ballot papers and clear evidence of rigging is manifest. If there is a problem that you can clearly see, in that the rule of law is nowhere to be seen, are you going to do anything about it? A lot of educated people (who really want what's best for the country, and not their own pocket) probably think the same also, so do something! Don't sit there and do nothing when you know there is something wrong! #TimeToWakeUp
