FAISALABAD: Four people of a family, including an aged couple and a child, were allegedly killed to avenge a murder at Chak 273-GB, Jarawnwala, on Monday.

Reports said ninety-year-old Bashir Ahmed, his wife Sardaran Bibi, 80, daughter Hafeezan Bibi, 38 and grandson Ameer Ali, 14, were found strangled to death at their house in the village. Police registered a case against eight people, three of them nominated --- Nasir, Asif and Murtaza.

According to initial police investigations, the suspects wanted to avenge murder of a relative and believed that one of the deceased, Bashir, was involved in the killing.
