Kashmiri boy killed by Indian forces: police

SRINAGAR: Police say Indian government forces shot and killed a teenage Kashmiri boy and wounded two others as hundreds of rock-throwing protesters threatened to attack their armoured vehicle in the Indian-held Kashmir.

Police officer Abdul Ghani Mir said the violence erupted after Friday prayers as government forces tried to stop the protesters from holding a street demonstration against Indian rule in the Himalayan region.

The shooting occurred in Naidkhai village, nearly 30 kilometers (19 miles) north of the Indian Kashmir's main city, Srinagar.

Anti-India sentiment runs deep in Kashmir, a disputed Himalayan region claimed by both India and Pakistan. The two neighbours have fought two wars over the control of Kashmir since they won independence from Britain in 1947.

Not supporting Indian Police action. However, I am wondering how many were killed or went missing in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, yesterday.

May almighty allah save Our pakistani soul.In nuclear war we all will be killed as a nation.even half of india.We pakistani must make peace with India ,so that we all can progress togather.Let us just forget kashmir and balochistan.We should focus on our economy and the welfare of our country.Dont think India is interusted in attacking us.India has its own problems.

I wonder whom should we blame teenage is such a beautiful but also volatile time, It really hurts to see precious life lost so early, this boy instead of throwing stones in streets should have been in the school, I see many kashmiris working in many software companies in Bangalore, the political leaders who are using religion and inciting poor young kids are shameless and has no remorse, they even take advantage of this death by declaring him shahid to incite thousands of other teenagers

Its time now that people should start thinking to re-unite India and Pakistan. All the problems of sub-continent (including Kashmir) will be solved. Indians and Pakistanis have same history, cultures, more similarity than people of any two countries in the world. Experts and Media should start campaigning for the same. To achieve this, the first requirement is Pakistan should root terrorism from its soil. Both countries should strengthen their Democracies, Overcome corruption, come out of radical attitudes, promote education and literacy. The unity of the two will reduce arms race, improve living conditions. United Indo-Pak will be the superpower of the world.

It is preparing for all out war. And not "half of India"...a preemptive strike with all of Pakistan's formidable might will turn it into radioactive ash from North to South, East to West in forty five minutes or less.
